Description:
The fixed guardrail and handrail is one of the rooftop railing system, which is fixed to the roof surface or parapet wall permanently to be used at or around leading edge fall hazard areas to prevent workers from being exposed to the fall hazard itself. As the requirement, if the workers work within 15 feet of the roof unprotected edges, a permanent or temporary safety railing must be installed . If the height of a parapet wall is less than 1100mm and not tall enough to keep employees safe when working at this height, a guardrail can be fixed on the top to extend the parapet's height to make up the required distance.

Materials:
The LONGDYES parapet fixed guardrail is manufactured from the aluminum 6063 or 6061.
The materials have excellent processing performance, excellent welding characteristics and electroplating, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and no deformation after processing, the material is dense and defect-free and easy to polish, easy to paint film, excellent oxidation effect, etc.



Application:
Fall protection for the roof top unprotected edges, ledges or roof-to-roof areas where the level drops off more than one meter.

Components' Features
The following components will be provided when the freestanding assembly is delivered:

Features	The variable corner bracket (Variable Angle Fitting) is suited for connecting two  Round Metal Handrails in variable angled applications. It is secured by using a Rail Joint/Junction at either end and should be drilled and riveted to secure in place.	The Rail Joint or Junction part is used to connect two sections of handrail or kneerail. A thrust ring located at the centre of the junction part ensures it is always installed centrally between the two joining halves.	The guardrail terminal end fixed both sides of the guardrail in order to connect the handrail to the kneerail and be joined two Rail Junctions. it should be drilled and riveted to the handrail and  kneerail to secure the fixing when the termination is posited.	It used to connect the wall end piece of Aluminum Modular Guardrail system to a fixed structure ( e.g the wall) to guarantee additional stability for the system without the need for additional counterweights on the final upright posts.

Optional item- Toeboard
If there is no parapet at the fall edge or the height of a parapet of less than 100mm, a teoboard  can be affixed to the base of the guardrail. The toeboard can prevent small objects or person slip off from the edge.



Installation steps:

1. Put horizontal bracket onto parapet then fixed it by taper screws.
2. Insert upright module into base then fix it by set screws.
3. Put handrail and kneerail onto tube fixing then fix them by tightening screws.

Test Procedure
Our freestanding guardrail would be tested according to the requirement of  EN 13374 and EN 14122-3 before the shipment.
